This movie taught me how to take care of ourself, how to rest expectations and how beautiful is straight forwardness, how needy all these for the people to remain motivated and focused. It is a nice movie to drive UPSC aspirants, especially motivational for the people who come from very poor economic status. Truth and Straight forwardness has beauty in itself. It keeps people motivated to stay focused and to be in the state of flow. Through out the movie, this has been put upfront on the face of the audience. Divergent Series has 3 parts 1. Divergent 2. Insurgent 3. Allegent I started watching the first movie and continued to watch others after getting inspiration from the first movie. Mostly of the Hollywood success movies take very simple topics and takes us to unimaginable possibilities, so was divergent. The movies starts with separation of kids into factions - dauntless, Erudite, Candour, Amity and Abnegation similar to houses in a school or college. But they stand for the meaning of the titles they choose or else they have to become faction-less. This films portrays that such factions are higher than the family which seems weird and does not allows one to be part of values of all factions. I had been watching a lot of movies over the weekend, Divergent, Love Guru (Romeo), Shero (Lion) and more. The Divergent movie made me think how different the movies produced differs according to the part of the world they are being produced and directed. While western world makes simple topic complex and easter worlds make complex topic simple, this statement could be blunt, at least watching the famous movies makes me to think so. There are lot of movies made in Hollywood, which are very relevant to Americans but not to Indians. Watching different types of movies from different parts of the world may help us to understand the nature of the people over there and their circumstances. If people are so naive to believe in the beyond with incidents and idol worship, why don't we cultivate their belief? Vadagupattu Ramasamy genre takes this theme with a non believer and takes it forward to make people believe an earthen pot as their god. while the god served its purpose, a scheme constructed by administrative office to take advantage of the belief to next level to exploit people belief was put to challenge by Ramasamy. A distant remote village in the hills don't gets any appointed doctor to serve them, it leads to loss of lives in that village. Despite people had put lot of effort and had built a hospital, they loose one of their precious member of their herd. she commits suicide as she cannot gain a medical seat in the college to pursue doctor degree. It puts the village people in undue agony and they seeks the collector help to appoint a doctor. With the help of collector, they do get a doctor, a lady doctor, I mention it as a men could not have justified such a good role the doctor played. This film has no romance, has no commercial elements. Last week, I did enjoyed a phenomenal Malayalam film narrative in tamil, jaya jaya jaya jaya hey. I did not watch this film, but just enjoyed the narrative and found it to be one of the best film to tell the society and women in the society that women can handle the family tension in a manly attire and set right expectations. The protagonist of most of the films in the previous generations had been men. This generation is seeing a great raise of women and a mental shift in providing a better space for women to stand on their own. The protagonist has been put down through out her life right from childhood.
