Orange Mittai: Tantrums thrown by a father, the pains & agony in father son relationship.

Tantrums thrown by children are very evident and can be observed by people of all ages, but tantrums thrown by fathers and parents in their old age which must not be let to happen, yet a capture in a film is best and digestible. Orange Mittai had served its best and it had been timed right to capture the reality of many suffering parents and reflect their sentiments and served it to both parents and children before it is too late for the society to address the problem. The journey of the father who is feeling lonely and a person who lost his father creates a nice chemistry. The tantrums may be enjoyable, yet while we realize the pain that pushed them to throw tantrums, it gives chilling effect and goosebumps. Yet another socially responsible film.

Varisu: no family is perfect, but everyone has only one family. "Varisu" simply impressive capturing the very essence of the necessary "family bond" in such a subtle way that we don't even realize that we are about to hit that on our face. It is just a puff. while some of the films are towards extremes, some make me wonder, whether our cinema industry is turning so much socially responsible? Successful films always reflects on the current affairs, gives hopes and shifts us "to make right decisions" in life for everyone's good. This one touches a specturm of audience that has been falling apart and not many were able to address it in one pitch. Even after watching the film, many may walk away for less hype, less masala, less anticlimax. I still wonder, will anyone spend time on such a family subject these days, if the delicacy has not been served as it has been presented & served.  It is always easy to turn simple subject complex, but turning co...
